It is a tough job to maintain to a component which is solely depended on a third party. JoomPush is tightly integrated with Google’s Firebase Cloud Messaging system through which it sends Web Push notifications to its subscribers. Firebase is rapidly evolving. We have to make sure that all those new things they release are taken into consideration and merged into JoomPush, provided they are useful for our customers and keep them updated. With this, we are releasing a minor version of JoomPush with a couple of new features.
Few of your site visitors who subscribe to your site’s Push Notifications and later block/ unsubscribe/ remove your site from the browsers in such cases the subscriber key has to be removed from JoomPush list. That can now be done by just clicking the synchronize button. It updates your subscriber list and remove all the unsubscribed users.
As we all know Web Push Notifications can be sent to specific subscribers by creating groups in JoomPush. Now you will be able to see all your subscribers in the default group and any new subscribers will be automatically added here. Sending Push Notifications to all subscribers is easier now.
Soon we will be posting the roadmap for JoomPush 1.1. Exciting features ahead!
Note: All the existing JoomPush customers after you update to v. 1.0.8 please go to Configuration menu and just hit the save button before you use the new version.
